I'm afraid.... that I've been so busy with projects that I haven't stopped to write a blog post! But now that spooky season has arrived and I'm venturing out more, it's time for an update.
One of my projects this summer has been buying a lovely old 1838 colonial style house in historic Carlisle, Pennsylvania. It was built by German immigrants who prospered in their new homeland and owned several properties in town. Over the years it has been home to or owned by: a liveryman, a US Cavalry band director, a butcher (there was a butcher shop on the premises in the early 1900s!), and a justice of the peace. It has been a great space for writing, especially for the "Infinite Curiosities" project since this house existed during the time the story takes place! The photo above is of the gorgeous raven doorknocker that I purchased from Dogknockers on Etsy.
My super secret writing project is nearly complete and I hope to have it published in November, just in time for holiday gift-giving! It has something to do with food and may or may not be linked with a person named Dave.
I've also been busy building a second website for a new business - a (mostly) online book & collectible store specializing in horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. Details coming soon!!
And finally, this weekend I'll be at the Carlisle Flea Market's Mystical Market with copies of Out Of Frame and a few other spooky goodies to sell. Stop by for a chat!
