I know! I know! I haven't been posting enough. Life moves pretty fast sometimes. I have been writing, but I've been doing lots of other things related to writing in some way. (Technically, just living contributes to my writing because I am always observing and thinking.)
In May I had the pleasure of attending the annual Pennwriters Conference in Lancaster, PA. It's always lovely to connect with fellow writers, pick up new skills, and learn new tips to hone our craft. This year's keynote speaker was the talented, prolific, and generous Jonathan Mayberry. The sessions he shared with us were full of great advice, insights, and encouragement that inspired all of us to get writing! (He stayed up til all hours writing and still had energy to share with us.) One of my favorite sessions was with Jonathan Mayberry, Cindy Callaghan, and - via Zoom - the incomparable Nancy Springer. Wow!
Now I just have to put into motion all of the great information I gathered at the event, starting with posting more about my writing life!
June and July were busy with the paycheck job, but I've made significant progress on my revisions of Ghosts of Everywhen. And thanks to a screenwriting session with Diana Botsford at the conference, I'm now mulling over changing it to a television screenplay. (Netflix anyone?)
Nevermore is currently on the back burner, but I'm still diving deep into Carlisle history to keep the atmosphere charged for when I'm ready to get back to Micah and crew. I think I may need a larger writing stove, because I have so many things currently simmering on a back burner! Besides the projects listed on this site, I now have another project involving Carlisle history and demons lurking within it. Aeternitas (title will probably be altered when reprinted) is hand revised and ready to be typed and formatted. I'm using it as something to get me going when I get stuck on one of the other projects - kind of like jumper cables on a dead battery!
And I've recently welcomed a new addition to the family... Clifford the psychotic kitten!
So glad you are still keeping at it. Netflix is not too far away!
